I am posting this for Andy Tannenbaum since my mailer rejected his address: I do not have a 50, but I do have a 60 and there are some interesting differences between the 60 and an AT. The most notable one I have run into is that the 60 (and 50) has a watchdog timer that ticks every so often. I think it is an NMI so it happens even if interrupts are disabled. There is a way to shut it off. If you need the info I will check my code (I have a program which uses LOADALL and needs to have alllll interrupts disabled to work). I hope this is of some help. If you need more let me know. (PS the PS/2 BIOS Tech Ref may be helpful here also). PPS - I own your MINIX book and appreciate your efforts. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I program ... therefore I am.
