Hello, I have this TSR Terminal emulator that I am writing, that works quite nicely under DOS 3.XX, but when you run it under DOS 4.XX, and hit the Hotkey from the DOSSHELL, the machine locks up. The program works fine if you drop into the command line before poping up, or if you run some other program from the shell, then popup from there. It is just when you try to pop up from some point where the shell has control of the screen, when the program bombs. When it bombs, it locks up the computer, as I recall, so tight that you have to turn off the power, to get it back. I am writing the program in MSCV5.1, with a few bits of assembler, for very time critical functions, or things that are too much of a hastle to do from C. The program keeps hold of the Serial port's interrupt, and a few other required interupts, while it is not poped up (so that you can stay logged on, and get your screen updated while the program is not visible on the screen), but the only problem seems to be when you try to popup. Unfortunately, I am at a loss as to where to look, and the DOS 4 documentation I want has not arrived yet. Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to where to look? I have not heard of any conflicts with any other programs, except SIDEKICK (that one goes away when you load the programs in the right order), and other software that uses the serial port (obviously). Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance, S.
