[net.general] Is anybody out there?

somebody (anybody) send me mail saying "This note made it onto the Net."

Thank you for all your replies, and now that I know all about net.test
and net.announce.newusers I shall cease to bore you with anymore
test postings.  (Imagine my surprise when I logged in this morning
with a pagefull of message headers waiting for me.)
