I've been beating my head for 3 days now trying to solve this problem: How does one set up to use a delimiter of your choice in the COPY command ? The syntax out of the book is: COPY TO <new filename> TYPE DELIMITED WITH <delimiter> The manual says "Character data is normally indicated by delimiting with single or double quotation marks (for example, STORE 'Hello' TO X). The same mark must be used at both ends of the character string." The following gives an error message: COPY TO Test3.txt TYPE DELIMITED WITH ' ' That's 3 blanks in the delimiter quotes. DBASE III doesn't like the use of single or double quotes to offset the delimiter when using blanks. If I use anything except blanks it works. Any ideas how I can use 3 blanks for delimiters (so I can COPY to a file for use with Harvard Graphics) ? Thanks, Responses should be by e-mail. I don't think too many people would be interested in this problem. -- Robert N. Perry (Sky Scum) Tektronix, Inc. TEX D-11561 bobp%tekcae@tektronix.TEK.COM "When I works, I works hard.
