I am putting together a 386 system and need some advice on a hard
drive. For the same price I can get
1) an ESDI 91MB CDC-94216 with 18ms average access time,
10Mbit/sec transfer rate, 40,000 hour MTBF, 1/2 ht, or
2) a Toshiba 150MB drive with 22ms access time.
(I don't have any more information on the second item.) All other
things being equal I'm apt to go for the larger capacity unit. I
would like to hear of any experience with these drives (or
additional specs on the Toshiba).
