Apparently, the "advice" I posted concerning the user with the malloc problem was off the mark (understatement?). I have so informed our "expert", and provided him with copies of other replies which seemed to solve the original problem. Thanks to Frank Whaley, John P. Nelson, and Russ Nelson for the direct mail responses. To say you were all emphatic is to understate once again! I do appreciate the responses; through the flames it was evident to see that you cared enough to set the record straight. I didn't learn much about assembler or Turbo C in all this, but I learned a *lot* about the wisdom of posting someone else's answers!! -Dick O'Connor, Washington Department of Fisheries
