Somebody outthere who knows please settle a bet. I am having a heated argument about the current progress and possible uses of voice activated equipment for the IBM PC or other similar type of equipment. I contend that this equipment is still very exerimental, does exist, but is not at a point that makes it of much use. My "Friend" contends that all the "big" boys already have useable equipment and are programming applications already for release in 1989. I figure he's full of shi*. Anyone wont to explain my mistake or give a good argument to stuff down this fellows mouth. -- Greg Simmons simmons@xanth.cs.odu.edu ------------------------------------------------------------- Give America a chance, vote republican. I can't tell you the name of the company but there is a company that has a board that uses up to 500 words. 500 words may not sound like much untill you consider a data entry clerk that sits all day and does nothing but post invoices. A company in Santa Clara named Interpath Inc. has a board for (I think) about $500 that has a vocabulary larger than 500 words. The phone number is 408/727-4559. I am not affiliated with this company.
