We have a need to compare text files to find out how they differ in the same way as the "diff" command in UNIX. It doesn't have to be as fancy, i.e., we don't need to do binary files. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There is a set of unix-like tools in the public domain for MS-DOS based machines called PICNIX. They should be available on just about any large bulletin board in your area. The bulletin board I obtained it from had several files of them, and the one containing it was called PICNIX3.ARC. It was slightly over 400K in size. Hope this helps D.
