I recently bought a KX-P1124 printer and I am considering buying the 32K buffer chip. I called Panasonic to find out what the price is and was told it is $60.00. I consider this to be rather expensive for a RAM chip that probably can be bought for less than $25.00. Does anyone know what this chip really is, i.e. what is the industry part no.? Thank you. -- Terry Raymond Raytheon Submarine Signal Division; Portsmouth RI; (401)-847-8000 x5597 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Internet: trr@rayssd.ray.com (trr%rayssd.ray.com@a.cs.uiuc.edu) UUCP: {decuac, gatech, mimsy, mirror, necntc, sun, uiucdcs, ukma}!rayssd!trr

Terry,
You might open up the 1124 and see what chip they use for the
present buffer (assuming there is one!), and also see how many sockets
there are nearby for the addition RAM chip(s).
How do you like the printer?
Pete
