I am looking to expand the memory of my Epson Apex computer from the original 512K to at least 640K. I've looked at the memory board and there are 8 chips already present and four empty sockets. The chips are labeled: ----------------- | TMS 4256-15NL | | EGP 8745 | ----------------- I have looked through the some magazines to find these chips, but I cannot find them. Are these a standard chip, or is Epson trying to mess up my life once again? I have found the 514256 chips and the 41256 chips. Epson gives absolutely no documentation with the computer other than a starting book and books on GW-BASIC and MS-DOS. No one that I've found has been able to help me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! I don't want anyone to think that the Epson Apex is not a good computer. For a computer in its price range, it is a good deal, and the keyboard can't be beat for feel. While I was looking for a computer, I chose it over the AMSTRAD because I was immediately turned off by its appearance, and after the recent discussions in this group, I think I made a good decision. Any other people out there have any impressions about the Apex? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Brian Neumann ======> neumann@louie.udel.edu | -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
