(Regarding WD1003-WAx controllers and disks with > 1024 cyls and > 8 heads) The controller can handle it, it's your BIOS that can't. Find a company (like Speedstor) that makes products to break this barrier. SpeedStor is about $90 or so, and includes a killer formatter and diagnostics.
