[net.general] Number_of_Usenet_Users

Does anyone out there have any idea what the average number of users
are that are on Usenet 1) in the Bay Area, 2) in the US and Canada 3)
and in the World ? This question came up in discussion the other day
and no one had any idea as to the scope of distribution of a general
message.
