Can anyone tell why chkdsk should report the same number of bites in bad sectors for my new hard drive that it also reported for my old hard drive? More specifically, one of the two volumes of the new drive reports no bytes in bad sectors and the other volume has the same number (81920-high, no?) of bytes in bad sectors as the old hard drive. Of course, many files have been copied between these drives. Any explanation would be appreciated. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Steven L.
