The following is posted for a friend. Followup to the net or mail to me and I can forward replies. (We're going to be purchasing a computer system and I'd like to get some (information on the "new" merged Dos and Unix systems. We have lots of (PC applications but we also need to run Unix. ( (How does the Sun 386i compare to the Compaq 386 running something like (Merge ? ( (Has anyone used the cut and paste on the 386i between Dos and Unix? (( this would be great!) ( (Is the Dos/Unix integration really that complete or is it just (bells and whistles? ( (What kind of performance can you get out of these machines in Dos (and in Unix ( (Any problems with DOS compatibility, applications or hardware (cards? ( (If anyone has any input on this, or, even better, benchmark results (please post! ( (All comments/likes/dislikes are welcome!
