A friend of mine is looking into buying a modem. She found a 2400 baud Supramodem for $149. Has anybody ever heard about this modem or have experience with it? Any information is welcome. Thanks in advance. Owen

I've had it for 6 months. I've had nothing but good experiences with it. I have not found any program that needs a Hayes compatible modem, that has not worked with my Supra. The reliability of the modem, in my informal assessment, matches that of a Hayes modem. I've owned a Hayes 1200 baud modem for six years. I do a lot of file uploading and downloading, and the Supra performs flawlessly. In response to a question about Supra modems: I have bought two of these modems and both have behaved themselves excellently. One is currently running UUCP on a friends system and the other has been used to contact Compu$erve multiple times a day for a couple of months now with nary a problem. John Munsch
