Keywords:sailboard, windsurfer, sailing x x x I'm a relative beginner windsurfer, and have recently noticed that some boards are much quicker to tack than others. Can anyone explain the mechanics of the board that affects this? (Assume similar sail, overall board length&buoyancy same). My only guess so far is that the size of the skeg and its spacing from the daggerboard control the turn rate. Thanks for any help. Also, any decent ref's to read( I'm not a rookie sailor, just rookie windsurfer).
