Am having trouble with the "gawk" that I have (this *is* Gnu awk, isn't it?) Specifically it bombs with null pointer problems when dealing with variables (eg. FOO = "blah" or F = $1). In my opinion it should handle uninitialized variables more gracefully (ie. blank not error out). These things don't happen with the one on this Sun!
