[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Quattro & SK+ Clash?

16016_1127@uwovax.uwo.ca (John Palmer) (01/31/89)

I'm running Quattro and Sidekick plus on an AT clone (Suntac
motherboard, 2 megs of RAM configured as expanded above the 640K
lower RAM). I have an ATI VIP card and a 14" monochrome monitor.
Sidekick+ is set to run mostly from expanded RAM and in the 43
line mode. Quattro, unfortunately, doesn't support the 43 line
mode so far as I can tell. I have two questions/problems:

Is it possible to use Quattro in the 43-line mode?

A more serious problem is that when I pop up SK+ in the 43-line
mode, then return to Quattro, all the cell entries in Quattro
appear to be messed up. Dollar signs and questions marks usually
replace the numbers I've entered, and the keyboard locks up on
me. When I reboot, the last spreadsheet I saved is ok, but of
course any changes made since then are lost. Is there some way to
work around this "feature", since I really like the 43 line mode
for my applications, and I hate having to exit Quattro before I
can pop up, say, the appointment book?
