I have it from a "reliable source" that a large Minnesota-based floppy disk mfr does indeed use the same media for the HD vs DD 3 1/2" disks. This was not true to begin with (to begin with, they used a japanese company's floppies re-packaged under their brands!). However, it has been true for the last 9 mos or so. My problem is that in order to use them, I have to drill a hole on the opposite side of the disk from the write protect hole. My drive has a sensor which overrides what the media says. Even if I format it as 1.44MB on a PS/2 (which doesn't have/use the sensor), my machine will got with what the hardware tells it. *sigh*. -- ============================================================================== Mike Bird - B.
