I have had a problem using Telix 3.11 at work, where I would like to switch between using it with an internal modem and a direct-connect serial port. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. The modem is 1200 baud on com3: (I have to tell Telix it is on com4: to get it to work). The direct-connect port is on com2: and runs at 19200 baud. The only way to get either of these ports to work is to make it the default port that gets initialized when I start up Telix. If I try to switch to the other port while running Telix, it doesn't work. I get no response from either the modem or the direct-connect port, depending on which one I am trying to switch to. Still sounds as if you have hardware problems. I use Telix on comm3 int2 (I cut the interupt line and move it on one of those el'cheapo rs232 cards) and a external modem on com2(int3), and a mouse on com1(int 4). Telix switches back and forth between the ports just fine. I'm running at 9600 into a Xenix machine direct on comm3. 19.2k shows to much jerky sceen updates. Use int5 on an AT. -- Bob Palowoda Work: {sun, decwrl, pyramid}!megatest!palowoda Home: {sun, pryamid}aeras!grinch!legends!fiver!palowoda BBS: (415)796-3686 2400/1200 Voice:(415)745-7749
