I've found that when partitioning a disk (40MB, in this case) into two partitions (one 32M and one 8M), DOS makes the cluster size on the second partition 4K. It seems to me that storing (small) files on my "D:" drive is a waste of space. I've verifyed this with a few friends and all of them have this [problem?] too. . Does anyone have any comments on why this happens? It only seems to be the case when multiple partitions are involved. (A 20MB drive was formatted and a single partition was created.... 2K clusters). . Can I somehow change the cluster size? . Inquiring minds want to know. .
