I've found that when partitioning a disk (40MB, in this case) into two
partitions (one 32M and one 8M), DOS makes the cluster size on the
second partition 4K. It seems to me that storing (small) files on my
"D:" drive is a waste of space. I've verifyed this with a few friends
and all of them have this [problem?] too.
.
Does anyone have any comments on why this happens? It only seems to be
the case when multiple partitions are involved. (A 20MB drive was
formatted and a single partition was created.... 2K clusters).
.
Can I somehow change the cluster size?
.
Inquiring minds want to know.
