Does anyone have any information about Microsoft Word for Windows or Microsoft Word 5.0 ? I have read about both of these products in BYTE and COMPUTER SHOPPER, but a call to Microsoft resulted in their denying the existence of any such products.

Microsoft Word for Windows has not yet been announced by Microsoft, but is expected sometime this year. Microsoft Word 5.0 on the other hand... Well, here's the last issue of "One-to-One with Microsoft", a marketing hype publication of Microsoft Corp.: Announcing Microsoft Word 5.0 More power and choice with less hassle The product should be out shortly, and perhaps Microsoft needs to tell its customer support people what they have been telling their customers. -- Clayton E. The Archetech outfit is also a bit disapointed with Microsoft for not delivering TCP/IP for OS2. It seems Microsoft is a bit savy in locking customers into the Microsoft product line. All the UNIX boxes support NetBios over TCP/IP; right?
