"Cool Jerk" was put onto the Go-Go's "Vacation" album.  They'd been playing
it since "the early days."  I don't know who did it first -- anyone know?
The Go-Go's play it in 4/4.  I don't think it's just because they can't
play in other tempos, I think the song was written that way.   I don't
see how it could have been 7/4. . .
 
One song, however, that IS in 7/4 is Linda Ronstadt's last bit of pleasant
but forgettable fluff before "What's New," "Get Closer."  The song has
been made into a commercial ("Get Close-Up"), but it's still in 7/4.
