I got his new album, entitled "Watching the World Go By," about a week
and a half ago after having seen him live in "An Evening with Windham Hill"
a while back in Berkeley; it's good stuff! His music is primarily acoustic
guitar; on his latest effort he includes vocals and does a really
interesting cover of "All Along the Watchtower"; in concert he also did
as an encore a cover "Come Together," which got the 2000 or so people in
Zellerbach on their feet, singing along with the chorus. Incidentally,
the background vocals on "The Streamlined Man" are done by Bobby
McFerrin...check this album out if you are a big fan of acoustic music
and especially acoustic guitar. His style is really unique -- quite
percussive, with a lot of soundboard tapping and harmonics.
