My brother is looking for recommendations for a point-of-sale system
for his small business. He has a Sperry PC (XT compatible) with a
20M harddisk and an Epson (wide carriage) printer. He is looking for
something rather simple. He wants to be able to type in an item code
and applicable discount and print out a description/price sheet. He
would like to use this system to help keep track of inventory and
print out a report at the end of the week. He doesn't care for "flags"
to indicate that he is getting low on a particular product (he wouldn't
mind them, certainly :-).
He is looking at a program called something like "Retail Store." Has
anybody ever used this? Any other suggestions? He would like to get
something in the $150 price range.
Please reply to me if you have any experience with a suitable program.
