I have a question abot expanding the 640k limit of DOS. We are running AT&T's Starlan Network and Software. When a client logs into the network they only have about 580k left. We need 640k to run FrameWork II. To date when someone wanted to run FrameWork, they would have to reboot and not load the client software. But we have just recently changed the setup of the servers. They have much larger storage and would like to utilize this more. What we would like to do is be able to keep the client software loaded at all times. This would require one of the following. 1) Expanding the DOS 640k limit by 80k. I know this is possible, but not with all machine configurations. If I wanted to free up $A000 and $B000 what hardware should I avoid. I know I can't use EGA, but how about Mono VGA? If I freed these to spots I could add 128k to DOS. 2) I could unload the client software before runnign FW, but to my knowlege this is not possible without rebooting. 3) I could load the client software into extended memory. I don't know if this is possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Robert Costello
