I have two questions concerning i/o redirection and pipes in msdos for all the msdos gurus. Firstly, is there an easy way to redirect output from a batch file (i.e. from the last command in the batch which produces output, and which normally could be redirected if used alone). I have tried many combinations but non seem to work. I am using version 4.01 The other question is where the temporary files for faking pipes are put. Msdos wants to make them always in the root directory but it is much faster (and quieter) to have them in ramdisk. I have batch files with constructs like DIR >D:\JUNK SORT <D:\JUNK where D: is my ramdisk - this is much faster than dir|sort but I was hoping there was a way to instruct msdos to do this automagically.
