I recently downloaded PC-TeX from SIMTEL20. I have it installed
and it runs (at least I think I have it installed correctly.) I have a
few problems though.
1) It seems that I can't process more than about three pages worth
of input text. Any more and I run out of memory, I've taken everything
out of my autoexec and config.sys files. I still have this problem. Is
there a way to get TeX to do more? 3 pages of output per file would make
for a lot of different source files for a 70+ page technical paper.
2) I seem to be missing several fonts needed for the LaTeX
implementation. I downloaded everything from the TEX directory at
SIMTEL20, but I still seem to be missing fonts. I know that I need the
CMR17.PK file at all the various DPI resolutions. Is there a place I
can get these via FTP. Can I create them from scratch?
If anybody out there has tips on using, running or printing TeX
stuff, please let me know.
Thanks,
Bob
