While in Windows, when the system is busy doing | some (maybe) disk read/write and the hourglass wait icon is | on the screen, if I move the mouse the system inevitably crashes. welcome to the club! i had the same frustrating problem using windows/286 and aldus pagemaker version 3.0. select the "text tool," move the mouse while the disk is active, crash. simple. there is apparently a little-known interrupt conflict between the mouse and the hard disk controller card. after two months of trying zillions of things to stop pagemaker from crashing every 30 minutes, i finally was given the answer: NOSER.COM. a 128-byte file that consumes only 448 bytes of RAM when installed. this little TSR utility, when loaded in the AUTOEXEC.BAT, fixes this problem quite nicely. my copy of NOSER.COM came today from zenith HQ in chicago. the only other solution is get updated ROMs. zenith has the problem corrected in ROM version 2.4.
