XEROX 4045 MODEL 50 LASER PRINTER
Two Years old with 46,000 copies on it this printer is rated for 1 million
copies before a major overhaul. It's defiantely a HIGH VOLUME
and fast laser printer easily capable of doing 15,000 sheets per
month.
The cost of supplies is GREAT!!! $95 per 20,000 copies....far
superior to any of the HP LaserJets which are $95 for 3,000
pages.
This printer is FAST! It's rated at 10 pages per minute. Even
though the HP is rated at 8 per minute, this printer handles
fonts a lot faster and is at least twice as fast as the HP II. I
was using it for perparing laser generated tax returns and it
performed up to its rated pseed where as the HP in similar
programs was doing between 3 and 5 pages per minute.
The input paper tray is both 8.5 x 11 and 8.5 x 14 and holds 250
sheets. The HP input tray is only 8.5 x 11 and holds 100
sheets. I also have the Xerox colasser, which "flips" the output
pages over so you don't have to turn over all the pages.
This printer does not do windows but...it does ENVELOPES and I
am including the special envelope tray with the printer.
I also have some drivers for Lotus, Windows and Excel, and
Wordperfect 5.0.
Finally, I can also throw in a Font handling Package called
Shazam and a font generating package called Alphabets, both by
Wilkes Publishing Corp in California.
