Please pardon if this came up before but a friend of mine is having problems with Miniscribe hard disks. He's just had six of them burn out in less than that many months. Now he has a certificate good for one free disk, but is wary about whether to take it. The disks are in different types of machines with varying controllers. This guy has been a hardware specialist for fifteen years, so I don't think it has to do with anything obvious except to Miniscribe users who've experienced a similar problem. I therefore would like to draw on the vast experience of the net. Please e-mail any similar problems you've heard about, or suggestions as to why this is happening, and many thanks in advance. -- "..we move always, if not in the dark, in a twilight, with imperfect vision, constantly mistaking one object for another, imagining distant obstacles where none exist, and unaware of some fatal menace close at hand." -- T.S.
