[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Simple TSR program request

dean@pgthor.UUCP (9352) (02/24/89)

I have a question to ask those who use TSR's with any regularity... I have
written a program in Quick-basic, and wish to have a TSR hot-key. Is there
any TSR utility out there that just loads into memory, and when the hot-key
is used - it simply runs a specified program? I don't feel like going
through all the rigamarole of learning how to make my QB program a TSR, so
I was hoping somebody might have a solution as simple as this... Please
respond via uucp or here.

As I recall, there are a whole lot of problems with makeing a Quick Basic
program run as a TSR. I think it has something to do with the run-time
routines, but I have never used QB, so I can't say for sure.

The only program I can think of that might help you is a thing called
Software Carousel. I'm not sure who makes it, but it's pretty popular.
You might also try DESQ-View.
