I heard $25,000. More importantly, how much went to Bruce and
the band? Surely less than half when you count rent for the
stadium, taxes, Barry Fey's fees, and so on.

I was there too, top row of the stadium and the sound was still
great! Best concert I've seen since Dylan in '66.

But shouldn't this be in net.music?

To all those who consider Springsteen to be just another money-seeker:

    Haven't you ever heard of the most basic economic rule - called
Supply and Demand? Well, it says, basically, that price is proportional
to demand. For our $20, he made us feel glad to be alive, as Roy Perry
said. Also, you seem not to know that Bruce would rather not play to
such a large audience, where there is a loss of intimacy, but he still
gets a personal message across to each person there. I know, I was there
9/23 in Denver, in the cold, gladly.

Regards,

I just don't see why everyone is making such a big
deal about Springsteen's last concert.
I (personally) think that his music has gone down hill
compare to his older albums (ex:Greetings from Asbury Park).
I bet some of you Springsteen fans don't even own that album;
and he gone 'POP'. Maybe someday you guys'll worship
Rick Springfield and Wham. It'll be a good laugh for me.
Take a tip from me if you wish. Listen to some Neil Young,
he doesn't wear muscle shirts or scream into the mike;
he could hold a note pretty good and his music is catchy.

Well Bernie...maybe you're getting old and senile? There was nothing to hold
my mother back from going to both of Springsteen's Born in the USA road tours
that came to Denver. I was fortunate enough to make this last one. Bruce not
only draws the young crowd, but also the older.

The reason maybe you don't see why everyone is making such a big deal is you
probably haven't been to one of his explosive performances LIVE ! But even if
you have, your thinking that he has gone downhill is *your* opinion and you do
have a right to your opinion -- even if it isn't a very popular one.
