Has anyone posted the new Kermit to the net yet. We don't have access to the internet, so we can't go get it from SIMTEL20. Also the new server at RPI doesn't quite seem to be working either. I thought that finally we were going to be able to get files from SIMTEL20. rick -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- rick odle texas instruments industrial systems division (615) 461-2371 johnson city, tn 37601 uucp: mcnc!rti!tijc02!rdo031 __ . _ /__, ( ( (__ / ( -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

The server *is* working. Problems in accessing it are usually due to munged netmail headers where some host along the way changes your host's name or drops it entirely. Anyone having this problem should send netmail to my Simtel20 address below (don't use the brl address for this) so I can see what your path looks like in the "From:" header of your message. We can then work together in determining the best path to vm.ecs.rpi.edu. A generic path that usually works is: uunet!vm.ecs.rpi.edu!listserv (you'll have to figure out how to get to uunet in this example). Another that works well is: ucbvax!vm.ecs.rpi.edu!listserv MS-Kermit ver. 2.32/A is available in the pd1:<msdos.kermit> directory. -- Keith Petersen Maintainer of the CP/M & MSDOS archives at wsmr-simtel20.army.mil [26.0.0.74] DDN: w8sdz@wsmr-simtel20.army.mil Uucp: {ames,decwrl,harvard,rutgers,ucbvax,uunet}!wsmr-simtel20.army.mil!w8sdz
