I'd like to find an online French dictionary (NOT just a spelling database). Ideally, it would contain both definitions and and English equivalents, but I'd settle for either. BTW, if anyone knows where I could get computer-readable data, I'd be HAPPY to write a lookup program. Please reply via e-mail, as this is probably of limited general interest. I'll forward responses to anyone who wants me to. Merci a l'avance, Bill Foote foote@ernie.berkeley.edu

I posted a similar request for an on-line French Dictionary a while ago and got no anwsers. If anyone locates same, please post. BTW, does anyone know of any calculator-like French-English translators like the Franklin Speller? M Volow, VA Medical Center, Durham, NC 27705 mvolo@ecsvax.UUCP

Texas Instruments used to make a talking calculator-like translator. I'm not sure if they had different ones for different languages, or a general-purpose unit w/ interchangeable bubble memory sw. Anybody know if this gadget is still on the mkt? --Spencer Greene sgreene@portia.stanford.edu
