[comp.sys.ibm.pc] JOVE & VI one mans view

medin@cod.NOSC.MIL (Ted Medin) (03/04/89)

With all the comments about vi on the net i couldnt resist my view of jove.

I had used vi for years until i ran across jove, here are some of the
pros:

 1. jove does windows - its nice to be able to pick part of another pgm
and place it into another pgm while both are in view.
 2. jove is public domain
 3. jove runs on unix, vms & pc's - i only have to know one editor (well
not really, jove insnt available on the sperry 1100)

and cons:

 1. jove doesnt have all the powerful line editor commands that vi has.
