CALL FOR PAPERS --------------- EVENT: COMUNIX 86 Conference in conjunction with the European UNIX (*) User Show. VENUE/DATE: Olympia 2, London England, 3-5 June '86 SPONSOR: /usr/group/UK ORGANISER: EMAP International Exhibitions Limited CONFERENCE TOPICS: "Unix Solutions" The topics listed are broad indicators and are not intended to restrict submissions. Papers should, however, aim to demonstrate the profitable application and effective use of UNIX. Suggested topics include:- Office automation Fault tolerant/resilient Computer aided engineering systems Computer aided manufacturing Computer aided design UNIX in publishing - including Computer aided graphics/ documentation production solutios. animation Building on UNIX Networking Standards UNIX in a corporate environment UNIX in a mixed environment UNIX in a small business Language translations environment Application development aids Software development Information management including IPSE's Business solutions including:- Artificial Intelligence - i) Financial solutions application ii) Retail and distributive applications CALL FOR PAPERS: Experts have been invited to address seminars on particular topics, but time is also being scheduled for additional papers submitted for consideration. Abstracts are therefore invited from potential speakers. If you would like to take this opportunity to address delegates on any UNIX related topic, send two copies of a 200 word summary of your paper, along with personal details including name, company/institution, position, address telephone/telex/ email address, business interests etc. Abstracts should be sent to the address below to arrive NOT LATER THAN 16 DECEMBER 1985. Authors of accepted papers will be advised by 20 Jan 86 and camera-ready typewritten papers will be required by 1 April 86. The papers will be distributed to delegates and subsequently published. Authors who submit their papers by 1 April 1986 will be invited to attend the whole conference free of charge, but funds are not available to cover speakers expenses.
