I just got Windows 286 and it works fine with my hercules adapter.
It uses its own device driver and can easily display about 35 lines of text
vertically.
My Question: Is there any way I can use the 35 lines of text when I am not in
Windows? (editing with JOVE or emacs is my main concern)
Most of the key sequences used by emacs type editors are caught by windows,
makeing it difficult to use these editors in windows (note: I don't have a
mouse, maybe thats why all the keys are reserved.?)
Are there any terminal emulators that can use the many lines possible on
a Hercules card? (I have procomm and I am playing with pcplustd, but they
can't handle the extra lines.
P.S. if you mail to the test address in my .sig, please also mail to
my known working address < rogers@src.honeywell.com > . I am curious if
anyone can get through useing the MRnet address (new about 2 weeks ago).
