Thanks for those of you who responsed to my question regarding what effect timeparking has in parking the heads. Now my friend Mike Lawler and I have two new questions: 1. Lets say that the power goes off for a split second. The drive may not have time to self park. Or a physical vibration may shock the disk. But people ... seem to say that autoparking drives don't need to be time parked. Question: Can autopark drives be hurt by time parking and would it help them in the instances described above? 2. What is the criteria in choosing the time interval for time parking? Too short an interval can cause the head to move more often (and hence cause more weary out, too?) Thanks in advance. Mingqi
