I'm using two PC's (simultaneously) most of the time - I have them tied via a serial line. This way I can transfer stuff relatively (:-) fast (115Kbaud) using LapLink (or some similar software). It does, however, require running the same software on both machines. I don't want to invest in a full LAN right now, but it would be nice if drives on one machine were accesible by the other (drives E: & F: ? ) - hopefully both ways. Speed is not critical (as long as >19200bps). I recall from a few years ago that some people actually wrote small RS-232 based LAN's - doesn't seem to have caught on ("you mean you don't want to wait 5 min. for a file transfer ?" :-) ). Does anyone know if some software like that is (still ?) available ? E-mail please - I will post a summary. Thanks, Paul. =============================================================================
