[net.general] About that house in the Netherlands

[]
Having got lots of reactions to my "House for sale in the Neth."-
article (including one flame!), I think it is easier to post the
answers to the many (almost) identical questions here than to
respond each letter individually. So, here we go:

	- Yes, of course it's fun to send such an article across the ocean,
instead of reading the so-manieth car for sale in New Jersey.

	Nevertheless:

	- Yes, the offer is a real one. I don't think I would have dared to
		send the article, otherwise.

	- Dfl 550,000.-- is somewhat less than US$ 200,000.--, given the fact
that US$1.-- is a bit less than Dfl 3.--. (Please note that
I am not the owner/seller of the house, and that my statements
in this cannot be called upon).
Houses are much more expensive in the Netherlands than in the
USA, and this is a very reasonable price over here.

One question: The person who flamed me called my article "crap". This seems
to be the standard term for articles one doesn't like.
	a) What does the word "crap" mean?
	b) Why is this the only word used in this context? Aren't there other
		words?

To be the question or not to be the question, that is.
