[comp.sys.ibm.pc] New floppies from Brier Technology

djo7613@blake.acs.washington.edu (Dick O'Connor) (03/18/89)

I've seen mention in the media about Brier technologies and their new
super-highdensity floppy drives that can put 20 MB on a $20 3.5 inch
special floppy, and I though I even heard of a 40 MB version. Drives
to use these are supposed to run around $350 and be available "in '89".

So what have netfolk heard? Anyone seen these or have any more reliable
info? This approach sounds like the answer for folk like me who have
40 MB hard disks and are still wavering between cassette tape and
Bernoulli-type backup storage. What shall we do?
