I have utilities from the picnix package versions 3.4, 3.5, and 3.6 depending
on the utility. Can anyone tell me where I can get later versions? I've
noticed bugs in three of the four utilities I use from the package.
In more.exe if I use the 'v' option to goto to an editor when I return to the
file more doesn't recalculate my percentage into the file. More should also
clear the screen on startup reguardless if I use the '-c' option or not.
In rm when I use wild cards it will sometimes say that a file can't be found
when it is actually there.
The cp utility does not have the '-p', '-i', or any of the other unix switches.
If anyone has knowledge of any other unix utilities that correspond to those
in my article that don't have these bugs you email and let me know where I
can get them? I would prefer them to be public domain or shareware.
Note!!!!! They must not write directly to the vidio hardware because I'm blind
and my screen reading software does not always deal well with such software.
I would also like to make a request of software authors.
Will you please provide an option on software to make it go through dos screen
service so that blind users can use it? I realize that we are a minority,
but I still like to be able to use software without having to spend an entire
day trying to make it compatable with my screen reader.
