Urgent message to all system SYSOPS re:MAXI Disk v2.01 From Herne Data Systems Ltd, Toronto, Ont Some one has taken it upon themselves to upload copies of one of our commercial products MAXI Disk to a number of BBS systems. If you see a file on your system named MAXI201.ZIP or similar, that is less than about 40k bytes long, please REMOVE it at once, it is a commercial product. An earlier shareware program which went under the name of MAXI Form is OK to have on your system. The latest version for it is 1.53, although the most common is 1.51. MAXI Form (the shareware program) is about 40k bytes long in the form of an EXE file (MAXI.EXE) and is usually arced with MAXI.TXT and SMAX.COM. MAXI DISK (the commercial program) is about 8k bytes long in the form of a COM file (MAXI.COM) and has been seen arced with the DOCS for the shareware program and SMAX.COM. The two programs can be further distinguished by he fact that MAXI Form is command line option driven and has a shareware registration screen when no options are specified. MAXI Disk is totaly menu driven, with no preliminary sign-on screen. It normally retails for $19.95 (US) or $22.95 (CDN).
