I recently purchased a DTK 386 20 Mhz PC and I am having a small problem with the BIOS. Everytime I turn on the PC, the byte in CMOS memory that contains the century is a '0' not a '19'. If I go into the ROM setup program, and exit out (no changing values), the PC reboots and now the century is OK. The value displayed in the setup program for the date contains the proper century without requiring any changes. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? I have been tracing through the startup code in the ROM's to see if I can track down the write that is causing the problem. So far, no luck. Any help by anyone would be greatly appreciated! - Alan -
