I need the actual pinouts of the IBM-PC-type power supply in order to attempt to graft it to a Compaq motherboard. I found a listing of the pinouts for the Compaq labeled at the connector in the blown Compaq power supply. I know that the Compaq had strange power requirements because it powered the monitor from a jack on the motherboard, but I'm using a standard EGA card and Princeton monitor now; I don't need the wierd power inputs that the Compaq board wants - just the standard stuff. I have some of the pinouts from the troubleshooting portion of the IBM Technical and Service Manual, but they aren't complete. If anyone else has done this, I'd like any tips. It isn't worth buying a Compaq power supply, as it would be cheaper to buy a 286 motherboard. I have the Compaq Deskpro (8086). Thanks for any information you can provide. If you have a good Compaq 200w power supply at a reasonable price, that too would be useful. -lar "It's about a man, two women, and a revolution.
