[comp.sys.ibm.pc] quattro 1.0 and graphics

gerard@econ.vu.nl (gerard) (04/04/89)

We have problems printing graphs with QUATTRO 1.0 (Borland's Lotus-killer):
we fequently get the message 'too many datapoints'. Rumours are being spread
that somewhere in the US the program 'gp.exe' exists which makes it possible
to print Quattro-graphs with many datapoints outside Quattro, thus in the
Lotus-style. Could anybody send a copy of this very useful program?
Suggestions are also welcome!

Please use email to gerard@econ.vu.nl
(and ( in case of sending binaries)
also uuencode (and perhaps compress (for 16bits)))

Many, many thanks in advance.

You can get a bug fix from Borland free by calling their support
number. They have not informed the population about the existence
of any bugs unless you call them with a problem.

I found a bug when quattro ran out of EMS memory and hung, everytime.
This can happen when copying rows & columns on a fairly small worksheet.

Borland's fix is more in the nature of a workaround. The companion
program that allows you to print graphs with large numbers of data
points is available in one of the data libraries in Borland's forum
on CompuServe. Some kind soul who lives closer to the original poster
than California (where I am) might offer to download it from CIS
and send it to them. I haven't downloaded it from CIS myself because
I only use Quattro for small, scratch pad calculations.
