This is possibly a question that's been asked here a dozen [?] times, but I don't usually read this group. However, I do have a real need for an answer. I've installed a 3.5" drive into a PC (not XT), and find format will only handle 40 tracks, yielding only 360K formatted. Am I right in thinking it's the BIOS? Specifing 80 tracks gives "parameter not supported." What must be done for 80 tracks? Disks can be read, but not formatted. Please respond by e-mail; address(es) in my sig. Thanks. --------------------------\ /------------------------------------------ INTERNET:tindle@ms.uky.edu | "I heard you." -Kirk BITNET:tindle@ukma.bitnet | "He simply could not believe his ears."
