[comp.sys.ibm.pc] SCSI Drives

David_A_Parsons@cup.portal.com (04/04/89)

I'm looking for a SCSI card for my XT clone for use with a hard drive
orginally intended for a Mac (though I've used it with two models of
Apples and an Amiga so far.)

I've seen a couple advertised, but they all seem to be dedicated to the
50 pin standard SCSI connector... the question is, how does one go about
squeezing all those pins down to the DB25 the Mac uses??

I'll tackle RS-232 cables, but this looks like a project and a half.

Thanks!

Dave

Hi Dave. Not all 50 PINS on the SCSI are used. So don't let the No. of
pins scare you off :-). If you need it done, let me know, and I'll do it
for a fee.

I'm also in the market for an xt scsi controller. 50 pin scsi connector is
okay. I need to interface to an archive 3020 cartridge drive and an 8"
1223-1 40 mb micropolis hard drive. Whay types of controllers are available?
