Hello again everyone. First off, I'd like to thank everyone who helped me with my hard disk problem. I tried to reply to everyone who responded, but we know how mail has been lately, don't we. Now, I have another (smaller) problem I hope someone can help me with. I recently ftp'd Procomm + TD from Simtel, and installed it, replacing the PC 2.4.2 I had been using. However, there seems to be a problem with it. For some reason, it will not dial from the dialer screen (this includes trying to use the (M)anual dial option). However, I have no problem dialing from terminal mode. I've checked my (scanty) modem manual, and checked all the modem strings I can find in Procomm, but everything seems to be correct. I reinstalled 2.4.2, an old version of Procomm + from a friend, and the PC-Talk that came with my modem, and all of them worked fine. (BTW- It's a generic 2400 external modem, sold under the names Perfect Modem, Easy Modem, and I think Easy Data, a beige plastic affair with the usual 8 status lights on the front.) Has anyone run into this problem, and been able to fix it? Anyone not run into this problem, but know how to fix it? Anyone not know how to fix it , but run into this problem and want to know how to fix it? Anyone know why I keep asking these stupid questions? Once again, thanks.
